Dear VBNF Members and Colleagues:

This January will be a very busy month in the Business Networking world in Vancouver as many of the Business Associations are celebrating the Chinese New Year.

VBNF is no exception. Instead of having our own events, we work with our strategic partners to sponsor their events so we minimize conflicting schedules and splitting our manpower.

VBNF went to party on Jan 06 2006 to celebrate the Chinese New Year with the China North East General Chamber of Commerce Canada at the Hyatt, Vancouver. Over 800 people attended. Please check on the photo album in the next few days to see us in action. The evening was recorded for TV broadcasting in China.

See us on TV. VBNF will also go to other Business networking events to make acquaintance with other business people.

Here is a list of events we will be going and you are welcome to join.

1. Jan 11, 06 VBNF – Burnaby. Mini Tradeshow by our members.
2. Jan 12, 06 Walton International - Lunch Presentation on Land Banking – Free
3. Jan 17, 06 Walton International - Evening Presentation on Land Banking – Free
4. Jan 18, 06 VBNF – Chinese at Canada Export Centre. Free Domino Pizza from Kyle Sampson.
5. Jan 21, 2006 U. of Phoenix Career Fair.

6. *Jan 25, 06 Vancouver Spring Festival Party at Chinatown Floata Seafood Restaurant $28/person. Over 1,000 people will attend. Great door prizes and China TV coverage. (We will change our own VBNF – Vancouver meeting to Jan 26)
7. Feb 10, 06 Canada Export Centre, Chinese Festival (Details to come)
8. Feb 10, 06 Jobline Canada Business Networking and Tradeshow. Hilton Metrotown. (VBNF has a booth there) Free. RSVP at 604-451-3395.
9. Our VBNF meetings are held on Wednesdays. We will move the Jan 25 one to Jan 26, 06.

As Feb 10 has two major events at the same time, I need to work with some of our staffs to sort out who may want to go to which one for the best benefit.

Full members (paid members) are welcome to showcase their product in a tradeshow environment. We will invite other business groups to visit our tradeshow.

*For Jan 25, 06 Vancouver Spring Festival Party at Chinatown Floata Seafood Restaurant $28/person.
This is one of the largest events in Vancouver that will host over 1,000 business people at the banquet. Over 70 business groups will attend. VBNF is one of the proud sponsors at the banquet. I do encourage our members to come and celebrate the Chinese New Year with us along with other business people in the community. There will be Chinese Artistic performance. This event will be recorded and broadcasted by the China Central Broadcasting company of China. This is one of the best events for our members who are interested in Trading with China.

Please RSVP by Jan 14, 2006 to reserve your seat. Once reserved, payment will be collected even you cannot make it to the party as we have to pay for the table and food.

晚会将于 1 月 25 日（周三）晚 6:30 在华埠富大海鲜酒家举行。届时温哥华的政要名流社团侨领将在晚宴向海外的中国父老乡亲拜年。大家在品尝家乡美食的同时，还可以观赏到清新高雅的由加拿大和来自中国的专业表演艺术家将献上一台内容丰富全新的多远文化精彩表演。

据筹委会透露，今年的联欢会将与往年不同，表演演员基本上是新面孔，邀请的贵宾将比往年多，特别是将邀请别的族裔团体前来参加活动，体现多元文化的特点。更值得庆祝的是中国中央电视台还将派采访小组前来现场采访并转播晚会。这也是经过了几年的争取得到的结果。
