VBNF is proud to co-host our next massive business networking event with the Canindo (Canada Indonesia Business Association) at the Indonesian Consulate General’s Office on June 21, 2007. This evening will be filled with fun and entertainment from the Indonesia Cultural Group. Light snack and refreshment will be provided.

Business and Investment opportunities in Indonesia
- South East Asia has been designated as one of six key markets for BC's trade in Asia Pacific. This Special Event gives you an opportunity to learn more about Indonesia, the largest country in South East Asia and one of Canada's most important economic partners in Asia Pacific.
- Rich with natural resources, Indonesia offers investment opportunities on the field of mining namely gold, coal, iron ore, and oil. Opportunities are also open for interested Canadian companies on the field of marine tourism, spa and health industry, pearl culture, infrastructure, power plant, and many more.
- Realizing the importance of foreign investment, the Government of Indonesia has made series of policy aim at improving investment climate in the country.
- With around 220 million populations, Indonesia offers a huge market for Canadian products and abundance of trained workers.
- Furniture and coffee are two easily recognized Indonesian products in BC. Indonesia also wants to expand export on fish and other marine products, textiles, and hospital equipments.

Mr. Bunyan Saptomo, Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Vancouver.
Mr. Bunyan Saptomo started his office in Vancouver in 2005. Prior to that, he was Director of Cooperation for Human Rights Promotion at the Indonesian Department for Justice and Human Rights. He’s also worked at the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra, Hanoi, and Beijing.
He received his Master in International Studies from the University of Birmingham, England
