I know David for over 25 years. We both worked for and graduated (retired) from Telus a few years back. In 2000, I left for Texas to accept a job at Verizon and David was still with Telus taking charge of the Telus Supplies operations. I bumped into him one day at the mall after I moved back from Texas last summer. He was also retired and was enjoying his daily exercise, walking in the mall. I told him about my business plan and he was interested to work with me. I was thrilled that he would agree to take the challenge.
David is not only a good friend but also a good teacher to me. With his encouragement and support, we build up a team of experts covering all facets of the business in web designs and applications.
Many people told me that they loved our website and wanted to build something like that. I am not surprised. If you feel the same, then you would need to know that David is one of the chief Web designers for the site. For a website like ours, it does take lots of hours of development. And surely, David put in many hours developing the backend functions of our website with never ending change requests from me and from you, the members (indirectly).
Web Design is not a simple matter if we want it to function the way it is designed. Many websites failed to attract browsers and customers. It is simply that they were not designed properly to do the job or designed by someone who does not really understand the business.
With a group of professionals from CMY Designs, who has over 130 years of collective experience covering: IT technologies, Computer systems hardware and software designs, graphics designs, Business planning and analysis, Project Managements, Copywriting and Business Solutions, we were able to build a website that is not only attractive but also functional to support its operations.
In April, David gave us a free seminar on “Website Backend Processing”. What a boring and scaring topic, some of you may think. However, he delivered an enthusiastic speech that even non-technical audience was able to understand and interested to hear more. His speech lasted twice of the allotted time. I had to stop the audience for further questions so we all could go home from the evening.
Great Job, David. Let’s do it again sometime please.
In May, David was busy developing Video Online, a new application that would allow you to have a TV like showcase of your products, services or you on your own website. This is not a simple matter. This new technology is here to stay and will be good for the next 5 – 10 years.
Imagine! Have your own TV show on your own website. No Airtime limitation, No Paid TV commercial, Show anything you want, Train your customer to cut down the cost from customer enquiries, etc. The best of all, your audience does not need to use even a finger when the TV Show starts. They can see your products from all angles, with sound and special effects. No more “mousing” around like virtual reality or panoramic photography. Just sit back and enjoy the show. Your website is LIVE with action and excitement.
Right now, David is busy developing other money saving programs to cut your costs and operations time. Time is Money, but beating your competitor can be most rewarded.
Thank you, David. Please keeps it coming.
